STMicroelectronics LIS2MDL Digital Output 3-axis Magnetometer
STMicroelectronics LIS2MDL Digital Output 3-axis Magnetometer is an ultra-low-power, high-performance digital magnetic sensor that can be configured to generate an interrupt signal for magnetic field detection. This LIS2MDL magnetometer features ±50gauss magnetic field dynamic range, three magnetic field channels, SPI/I2C serial interfaces, programmable interrupt generator, and 16-bit data output. The I2C serial bus interface supports standard fast mode, fast mode plus, and high-speed (100kHz, 400kHz, 1MHz, and 3.4MHz) values. The STMicroelectronics LIS2MDL Digital Output 3-axis Magnetometer is available in a plastic Land Grid Array (LGA) package and has an extended temperature range from -40°C to +85°C. Typical applications include tilt-compensated compasses, map rotation, and intelligent power saving for handheld devices.
