DLP® Devices

Texas Instruments DLP® technology enables innovative optical solutions that disrupt existing end equipment and create new markets. The DLP chip, or Digital Micromirror Device (DMD), is an array of micromirrors that can be used for high-speed, efficient, and reliable spatial light modulation. Not only a leader in consumer projection, but DLP is also redefining industrial, medical, telecom, security, and many other applications. This technology helps customers reduce design cycles and deliver disruptive products.

DLPC964 Digital Micromirror Device Controller

Texas Instruments DLPC964 Digital Micromirror Device (DMD) Controller works with the DLP991U digital micromirror device (DMD). The controller provides a high-speed data and control interface for the DMD, enabling binary pattern rates up to 12.4kHz. These fast pattern rates set DLP technology apart from other spatial light modulators and offer a strategic advantage for equipment needing accurate, quick, and programmable light steering capability. The DLPC964 provides the required timing and clocking pulse information to the DMD. The unique value and capability offered by the controller make it well-suited to support a wide variety of direct imaging, advanced display, and industrial applications.
