Vishay HV-IBSR Reference Design
Vishay High-Voltage Intelligent Battery Shunt Redundant (HV-IBSR) Reference Design displays the capabilities of Vishay's HV-IBSR, which features two resistive elements for independent current measurements. This construction design increases measurement accuracy and system reliability / redundancy while supporting ASIL-D safety regulations for automotive battery management systems. Several integrated circuits used in conjunction with the current shunt are needed to process voltage measurements. Although degradation of the measurement accuracy is rarely a problem, the redundant elements enable the battery management system to continue functioning if there is a failure in one of the measurement circuits. Vishay HV-IBSR Reference Design has an operating temperature range of -65°C to +170°C.Features
