NXP Semiconductors FS5502 High Voltage PMIC is an automotive, multi-output Power Supply Integrated Circuit. The FS5502 is optimized for radar applications and is an ideal companion chip to the S32Rx Microcontroller. The NXP FS5502 includes multiple switch modes and linear voltage optimized for QM radar applications. It offers external frequency synchronization input and output, for optimized system EMC performance. Several device versions are available via one-time programming for design flexibility, offering choices in output voltage setting, operating frequency, and power-up sequencing. The FS5502 High Voltage PMIC is offered in a thermally enhanced QFN package with wettable flanks.Features

- 60VDC maximum input voltage for 12V and 24V applications
- VPRE synchronous buck controller with external MOSFETs - configurable output voltage, switching frequency, and up to 10A current capability
- Low voltage integrated synchronous BUCK1 converter, dedicated to MCU core supply with SVS capability - configurable output voltage and up to 3.6A peak current capability
- Low voltage integrated synchronous BUCK3 converter - configurable output voltage and up to 3.6A current capability
- EMC optimization techniques including SMPS frequency synchronization, spread spectrum, slew rate control, manual frequency tuning
- One linear voltage regulator for MCU IOs and ADC supply - external physical configurable output voltage and up to 400mA DC current capability
- OFF mode with very low sleep current (10μA typical)
- Two input pins for wake-up detection and battery voltage sensing
- Device control via an I2C interface with CRC
- Power synchronization pin to operate two FS5502 devices or FS5502 plus an external PMIC
- Three voltage monitoring circuits, dedicated interface for MCU monitoring, power good, reset and interrupt outputs
- Configuration by OTP Prototype enablement to support custom settings during project development in engineering mode
