NXP Semiconductors FRDM-KW38 Freedom Development Board

NXP Semiconductor FRDM-KW38 Freedom Development Board is a highly configurable and low-power development board that evaluates the KW39A / 38A / 37A / 38Z / 37Z (KW38) wireless microcontrollers (MCUs). The FRDM-KW38 board offers an easy-to-use mass-storage device mode flash programmer, a virtual serial port, and standard programming and run-control capabilities. The board consists of the KW38A device with a 32MHz reference oscillator crystal, RF circuitry (including antenna), and 4-Mbit external serial flash. The board also includes CAN and LIN transceivers and the supporting circuitry in the freedom board form factor. NXP FRDM-KW38 Freedom Development Board is a standalone PCB and supports application development with NXP's BLUETOOTH® Low Energy and generic FSK libraries.

USB Dongle

The USB dongle can be used as a wireless sniffer to monitor the wireless communication packets in the targeted network. After installing the required monitoring software, it can be connected to a PC. Alternatively, it can be used as a wireless node with an easy connection to a PC or other USB-enabled device.
