Tinkerforge HAT Brick for Raspberry Pi

Tinkerforge HAT Brick for Raspberry Pi follows the HAT specification and will automatically and without any changes work with Raspbian. The HAT Brick can connect up to eight Bricklets to the Raspberry Pi. The Tinkerforge Raspberry Pi can be powered through the HAT Brick by an external 5VDC to 28VDC power supply. The onboard power supply provides a stable 5V, even under heavy load.

The Raspberry Pi, connected Bricklets, and USB devices can be powered while connected to the Raspberry Pi's USB connectors as the HAT Brick delivers a slightly increased voltage of 5.3V to compensate additional load. The HAT Brick features a real-time clock with battery backup that is directly connected to the Raspberry Pi, which can turn it off for a specified time. Therefore the Raspberry Pi is ideal for battery-powered applications, for example, to send sensor information every hour to a cloud.

The Raspberry Pi will be restarted if it crashes or your program gets stuck using the implemented watchdog. The HAT Brick is electrically compatible to the Raspberry Pi 2B, 3B, 3B+, 4B, Zero, and Zero W. The mounting holes are compatible with the Raspberry Pi 2/3/4, with a smaller HAT Zero Brick offered that has mounting holes that are compatible with the Raspberry Pi Zero.
