Broadcom ACPL-C877 Isolated Digital Voltage Sensors

Broadcom ACPL-C877 Isolated Digital Voltage Sensors are 1-bit, second-order sigma-delta modulators tailored for voltage sensing. The Broadcom ACPL-C877 sensors convert analog signals from 0V to 2V into a high-speed data stream with galvanic isolation via optical coupling. With a 2V differential input range and high 1GΩ input impedance, these sensors are ideal for isolated voltage sensing in electronic power converters like motor drives and renewable energy systems. Typically, a resistive voltage divider scales the DC-link voltage to fit the sensor's input range. Operating from a 5V power supply, the ACPL-C877 sensors offer a 76dB dynamic range with an appropriate digital filter.
