Renesas Electronics Smart Range Hood with Gas Sensor reference design incorporates the ZMOD4410 air-quality sensor that can detect food spoiling and other Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). This sensor detects VOCs such as burning food very early and is capable of making adjustments to the conditions and alerts. The ZMOD4410 sensor then sends alerts to the RX231 Microcontroller (MCU), which in turn displays them to the user via an LED display. In addition, the RX231 MCU offers all the other core functions like sensor data analysis, fan control, and touch switches for manual controls.
