Renesas Electronics EVK-8T49N1012 Evaluation Kit

Renesas / IDT EVK-8T49N1012 Evaluation Kit is a demonstration and development platform for the 8T49N1012 FemtoClock® NG Frequency Synthesizer. The 8T49N1012 is a flexible and configurable single FracN PLL device offering up to 12 programmable clock outputs. The EVK-8T49N1012 Board features a pre-mounted 8T49N1012 in a VFQFN-72 package, SMA input and output connectors, and a USB port that can be connected to a PC running the Timing Commander™ Software.

Timing Commander is a simple configuration tool for complex timing solutions. This Windows-based software platform enables system design engineers to configure, program, and monitor the timing device with an intuitive and flexible Graphic User Interface (GUI).

Required Equipment

Power supply with 4V 800mA rating
Signal generator (10MHz to 600MHz input and an amplitude from 0.4V to 0.8V) or crystal
Signal analyzer
Two banana plug cables (red and black) to connect the power supply source to the board
Two SMA cables to connect the signal generator to the CLK/nCLK inputs
Two SMA cables to connect Q0/nQ0 to the signal analyzer
50Ω to ground terminators to terminate the unused outputs
USB cable
Windows based PC running Timing Commander
