Renesas Electronics DALI RGBWW LED Driver
Renesas Electronics DALI RGBWW LED Driver offers a highly integrated, complete solution for driving five LED stripes for red, green, blue, and warm/cold white lights, with up 70V and 700mA each, resulting in 245W of total LED power. The 70V is internally boosted out of the 24VDC input.The digital addressable lighting interface (DALI) is expanding for home and building lighting applications. DALI 2.0 standard allows users to control up to 65 individual lights or 32 groups of lights. This configuration allows for complex color light scenes of multiple luminaires to be easily set up through DALI. The Renesas DALI RGBWW LED Driver reference design utilizes energy efficiency LEDs, often arranged in stripes. RGB is preferred in ambient lighting, but warm/cold white light is required for general lighting.
The total BOM is further reduced via the Synergy S128 microcontroller, with a dedicated peripheral for DALI 2.0. The system runs out of the standard 24VDC providing a best-in-class power solution.
