NXP Semiconductors SGTL5000 Low Power Stereo Codec

NXP SGTL5000 Low Power Stereo Codec comes with a Headphone Amp from Freescale. This Codec is designed to provide a complete audio solution for products needing LINEIN, MIC_IN, LINEOUT, and digital I/O. SGTL5000 is able to achieve low power with high performance in small footprints. This Codec has features such as capless headphone design and an internal PLL that helps lower the overall system cost.

    • ADC - 85dB SNR (-60dB input) and -73dB THD+N (VDDA = 1.8V)

    • HP Output - Capless design
    • HP Output - 62.5mW max, 1.02kHz sine into 16Ω load at 3.3V
    • HP Output - 100dB SNR (-60dB input) and -80dB THD+N (VDDA = 1.8V, 16Ω load, DAC to headphone)
    • LINEOUT - 100dB SNR (-60dB input) and -85dB THD+N (VDDIO = 3.3V)
  • Digital I/O
    • I2S port to allow routing to the application processor
  • Integrated Digital Processing
    • NXP surround, NXP bass, tone control/ parametric equalizer/graphic equalizer clocking/control
    • PLL allows input of an 8.0MHz to 27MHz system clock - standard audio clocks are derived from PLL
  • Power Supplies
    • Designed to operate from 1.62 to 3.6 volts
