NXP Semiconductors NVT4555 & NVT4556 SIM Interface Level Translators

NXP Semiconductors NVT4555 and NVT4556 SIM Interface Level Translators are built for interfacing a SIM card with a single low-voltage host side interface. They each contain an LDO that can deliver two different voltages, 1.8V or 2.95V from typical mobile phone battery voltages up to 5.25V and three level translators to convert the data, RSTn and CLKn signals between a SIM card and a host microcontroller. The NVT4555 contains one voltage select pin (CTRL) to select either 1.8V or 2.95V for SIM card power supply and one active HIGH enable pin (EN) to enable normal operation. The NVT4556 also uses the I2C-bus interface to enable normal operation and to select either 1.8V or 3V for the SIM card power supply. Each device is compliant with all ETSI, IMT-2000 and ISO-7816 SIM/Smart card interface requirements.

The NXP Semiconductors NVT4555 and NVT4556 SIM Card Interface Level Translators are available in a compact 1.19mm x 1.62mm x 0.56mm  WLCSP12 package and are Pb-free, RoHS compliant, and free of halogen and antimony.
