Mikroe MIKROE-3118 Hall Current 3 Click

Mikroe MIKROE-3118 Hall Current 3 Click is designed to use Hall effect to provide a precise and reliable measurement of reasonably high current. This current measurement Click Board™ consists of an integrated MLX91210 Hall sensor IC that can measure current up to ±30A. The measured current value can be obtained through the onboard 12-bit analog-to-digital converter via the I2C interface. Mikroe Hall Current 3 Click Board features low series resistance, wide current input range, low thermal drift, high accuracy, and immunity to EMI or other magnetic interferences. Other onboard modules include a Microchip MCP3221 12-bit ADC converter with an I2C interface by Microchip and a Texas Instruments PCA9306 Dual Bidirectional I2C voltage level translator.

The Click Board consists of a PCA9306 IC that accepts two reference voltages, one for the input signal and the other for the output signal. The MCP3221 12-bit ADC has a reasonably good signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), can achieve up to 22.3ksps, and yields accurate conversion. Typical applications include telecommunications, audio, smart current metering, servers, and motherboards current monitoring.
