Microchip Technology LAN7431 PCIe to RGMII Ethernet Controllers
Microchip Technology LAN7431 PCIe to Reduced Gigabit Media Independent Interface (RGMII) Ethernet Controllers provide a high-performance, cost-effective PCIe-to-Ethernet connectivity solution. The LAN7431 controllers incorporate Media Access Controller (MAC) with an external Ethernet Physical layer (PHY). These controllers employ specific enhancements for PCIe LPSS L1.1 and LPSS L1.2 that are integrated into the lower system power consumption. The LAN7431 controllers come with a wide range of drivers, including Windows®, Linux®, and Pseudo code for developing Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS). These controllers also support Precision Time Protocol (PTP) and use the industry standard 1588-2008 PTP.Features
- Single-chip PCIe 3.1 at 2.5GT/s MII/RGMII network controller:
- PCIe low power sub-state LPSS L1.1 (snooze) and L1.2 (off)
- Require only a single 25MHz crystal or single-ended clock
- Support 9K jumbo frames
- Internal OTP memory that removes the need for an external EEPROM
- RGMII/MII:
- RGMII v1.3, v2.0 with programmable delay option
- Variable IO power supplies in the range from 1v8 to 3v3
- IEEE 1588-2008 Precision Time Protocol (PTP):
- Support IEEE 1588-2008 E2E and P2P one and two step
- IEEE 1588-2008 programmable time compare output
- Comprehensive driver support:
- Windows OneCore with WHQL certification
- Linux driver with mainline kernel
