Microchip Technology MCP434x & MCP436x Digital Potentiometers
Microchip Technology MCP434x and MCP436x quad digital potentiometers are 7-bit and 8-bit non-volatile devices, featuring an SPI interface and static current consumption of just 5mA (max). The MCP434x and MCP436x are unlike mechanical potentiometers from which they can be controlled digitally, eliminating the need for human interaction and increasing system accuracy, flexibility, and manufacturing throughput while decreasing manufacturing costs. The non-volatile memory in these digital potentiometers enables the devices to retain their settings at power down. Their low static current consumption of just 5mA (max) helps extend battery life. The MCP434x and MPC436x potentiometers are available in space-saving packages as small as 4mm X 4mm QFN, making them ideal for a variety of consumer and industrial applications.Features
