MACOM ENGSD00088 Transmit / Receive Front-End Module

MACOM ENGSD00088 Transmit / Receive (T/R) Front-End Module (FEM) covers a 2GHz to 18GHz frequency range in a miniature multi-chip package that simplifies system design and minimizes board space. This wideband FEM integrates a high-power three-stage gallium nitride (GaN) power amplifier (PA), a three-stage gallium arsenide (GaAs) low noise amplifier (LNA), and a T/R switch with a fail-safe antenna termination, all within a compact package. The transmit path delivers 2.5W typical saturated output power with 25% average power-added efficiency (PAE) and 25dB large signal gain. The receive side offers 27dB gain with a low noise figure of 3.5dB and 26dBm output third-order intercept point (OIP3). The receive channel withstands up to +20dBm input power with an option to add a limiter. MACOM ENGSD00088 T/R FEM provides high gain and high performance for mission-critical reliability, making it ideal for wideband phased array architectures. Applications include SATCOM, civilian and military radar, electronic countermeasures (ECM), and test and measurement.
