Lumex SML-LXR/SMD-LXR RGB Surface-Mount LEDs

Lumex SML-LXR/SMD-LXR RGB Surface-Mount LEDs are LEDs that combine red, green, and blue LED chips in one tiny PCB. These RGB LEDs are available in different variants such as SML-LXR1003RGBC-05, SML-LXR0804RGBC-TR, SMD-LX5050RGB-TR, and SMD-LXR1204RGBC-TR. The SML-LXR1003RGBC-05 and SML-LXR0804RGBC-TR are RGB LEDs that come with a right-angled water-clear lens. These SML-LX RGB LEDs feature 20mA forward current (IF) and a common anode configuration.

The SMD-LX5050RGB-TR LED features a low profile, low drive current, and an IC-embedded driver. This RGB LED easily adapts odd size and different shape or material PCB design including hallow ring, rigid stripe, and flexible stripe. The SMD-LX5050RGB-TR LED comes with a single GPIO pin that can manage up to 1024 SMD-LX5050RGB-TR LEDs. Each RGB chip uses 256 grades of PWM for brightness control to mix different colors.

The SMD-LXR1204RGBC-TR LED incorporates a 3-channel led driver with 8-bit PWM linear control. This RGB LED features a low profile and low drive current. The sample code from Lumex provides easy manipulation of the embedded driver IC. The SMD-LXR1204RGBC-TR LED is able to integrate with digital LED controllers to offload MCUs or controllers, saving the overall cost of fulfilling the requirement of colors.
