Infineon Technologies 3300W LLC DC-DC Converter Evaluation Board
Infineon Technologies EVAL_3K3W_LLC_HB_CFD7 Evaluation Board provides a complete reference design for a 3300W LLC Resonant DC-DC Converter from 400V to 51.5V, achieving 98.1% peak efficiency. The achieved power density is in the range of 4W/cm³ (66W/in³), which is enabled by using SMD packages, the innovative stacked magnetic construction, and the innovative cooling solution. This DC-DC Converter demonstrates the feasibility of HB LLC as a high-efficiency topology for a 3.3kW converter at the level of full-bridge LLC or dual-stage LLC when combined with other Infineon devices with the benchmark low RDS(on) and low parasitics.
The digital control, powered by Infineon XMC™ microcontrollers, can control LLC topology and is the most effective way to overcome difficulties and pitfalls. Moreover, the included protection mechanisms and control schemes further boost the reliability and performance of the Infineon devices, achieving efficiency.
