Infineon Technologies EVAL_3K3W_TP_PFC_SIC2 Evaluation Board

Infineon Technologies EVAL_3K3W_TP_PFC_SIC2 Evaluation Board is a system solution enabled by CoolSiC™ 650V G2 MOSFET. This board features a bridgeless totem-pole Power Factor Corrector (PFC) with bi-directional power capability. The totem-pole offers a complete utilization of the PFC inductors and switches. The EVAL_3K3W_TP_PFC_SIC2 board provides reverse power flow due to the totem-pole's inherent bi-directional power flow capability. This evaluation board delivers up to 99.2% efficiency and comes with a height of 40mm (1U) for a power density of 72W/in3. The EVAL_3K3W_TP_PFC_SIC2 board is used in applications such as battery chargers, battery formation, server power supplies, and power conversion.

The EVAL_3K3W_TP_PFC_SIC2 evaluation board 2 operates in Continuous Conduction Mode (CCM) mode in rectifier and inverter mode, with digital control based on the XMC™ microcontroller. The components used to implement EVAL_3K3W_TP_PFC_SIC2 board include 600V CoolMOS™ C7 SJ MOSFET (IPW60R017C7), EiceDRIVER™ 2EDF7275F isolated gate drivers, CoolSiC™ 650V G2 MOSFET (IMZA65R050M2H), and CoolSET™ ICE5QSAG QR flyback controller. Other components are CoolMOS™ 950 V P7 (IPU95R3K7P7), and XMC™ XMC1404 microcontroller.
