HMS Networks Anybus® Communicator CAN Gateways

HMS Networks Anybus® Communicator CAN Gateways act as gateways between a subnetwork running the standard CAN protocol and several popular industrial networks. These industrial networks include EtherCAT, PROFIBUS, ControlNet, Modbus-RTU, Modbus-TCP, PROFINET, PROFINET IRT, EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, CC-Link and CANopen. The Anybus® Communicator CAN gateways allow integration without loss of functionality, control, and reliability when retrofitting existing equipment or setting up new installations.

The Anybus Communicator CAN devices recognize and support communication conforming to CAN 2.0A and 2.0B standards. The Communicator adapts to any predefined network using CAN frames as means of data exchange. Using the included Anybus Configuration Manager, all necessary configuration is performed without needing proprietary software.
