Bosch BME690 Air Quality Sensor
Bosch BME690 Air Quality Sensor is a 4-in-1 MEMs sensor suitable for indoors and optimized for high condensation environments. This sensor is an advanced version of the BME688 and BME680 models, maintaining compatibility and a compact size of 3mm x 3mm x 0.93mm3, facilitating easy integration as an enhanced replacement. The BME690 sensor excels in tracking indoor air quality and is particularly effective at detecting high levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emanating from cooking emissions, cleaning products, and other typical sources of VOCs. The sensor can also analyze exhaled breath and assess food freshness to help reduce wastage through early spoilage detection.This sensor supports straightforward plug-and-play operation and includes advanced AI functionalities powered by Bosch Sensortec's BME AI-Studio software tool. Compared to its predecessor, the BME90 has halved its power consumption, making it ideal for battery-operated mobile devices such as wearable technology and asset tracking.
