Analog Devices / Maxim Integrated MAX77503 Buck Converter

Analog Devices MAX77503 Buck Converter is a synchronous 1.5A step-down DC-DC converter. This buck converter is optimized for portable 2-cell and 3-cell battery-operated and USB-C™ applications. The MAX77503 buck converter operates at an input voltage range from 3V and 14V. The output voltage is adjustable between 0.8V and 5V in 150mV steps through an I2C interface. It can also be adjusted from 1.55V to 99% of the supply voltage with external feedback resistors. The MAX77503 buck converter features a low-IQ SKIP mode, allowing excellent light load efficiency.

This buck converter has dedicated enable and power-OK pins for simple hardware control. The Analog Devices MAX77503 buck converter utilizes I2C serial interface for full configuration and control for dynamic voltage scaling and system power optimization. This buck converter ensures safe operation under abnormal operating conditions through built-in Under-Voltage Lock-Out (UVLO), output active discharge, cycle-by-cycle current limit, thermal shutdown, and short-circuit protection.
