ABLIC S-82Y1C Battery Protection ICs

ABLIC S-82Y1C Battery Protection ICs are designed for lithium-ion and polymer rechargeable batteries. The ABLIC S-82Y1C ICs feature high-accuracy voltage detection and delay circuits, making them ideal for protecting 1-cell battery packs from overcharge, over-discharge, and overcurrent conditions. An external overcurrent detection resistor allows the IC to deliver precise overcurrent protection with minimal temperature influence.

  • High-accuracy voltage detection circuit
    • 3.500V to 4.800V overcharge detection voltage (5mV step) with ±10mV accuracy
    • 3.100V to 4.800V overcharge release voltage with ±50mV accuracy
    • 2.000V to 3.000V over-discharge detection voltage (10mV step) with ±50mV accuracy
    • 2.000V to 3.400V over-discharge release voltage with ±75mV accuracy
    • 3mV to 50mV discharge overcurrent 1 detection voltage (0.25mV step) with ±0.5 mV accuracy
    • 6mV to 100mV discharge overcurrent 2 detection voltage (0.5mV step) with v±1.5mV accuracy
    • 15mV to 100mV load short-circuiting detection voltage (1mV step) with ±3.0mV accuracy
    • -50mV to -3mV charge overcurrent detection voltage (0.25mV step) with ±0.5mV accuracy
  • Detection delay times are generated only by an internal circuit (external capacitors are unnecessary)
