ESD Protection Solutions

Littelfuse provides a wide range of products that protect components from ESD threats. ESD threats are extremely fast, low-energy events that can wreak havoc on electronic equipment. Trends in reduced chip protection and harsher end-user environments are requiring the need for enhanced protection solutions. Littelfuse produces varistors, suppressors, indicators, and more so users can find the right protection to ensure the long-term reliable operation of applications.

Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) Diodes

Littelfuse TVS (Transient Voltage Suppression) Diodes are a broad range of circuit protection products designed to protect electronic circuits against transients and overvoltage threats such as EFT (electrically fast transients) and ESD (electro-static discharge). Lightning strikes, inductive load switching, and ESD cause electrical over-stresses associated with the transmission on data lines and electronic circuits. Offered in a variety of surface mount and through-hole circuit board mounting formats, the TVS Diode portfolio includes high peak pulse current and peak pulse power options up to 20kA and 30kW, respectively. Littelfuse TVS Diodes are chosen for the fast response time (low clamping voltage), lower capacitance, and low leakage current. TVS Diodes are available in both unidirectional (unipolar) or bidirectional (bipolar) diodes circuit configurations. 

General-Purpose ESD Protection SPA Diodes

Littelfuse General-Purpose ESD Protection SPA Diodes protect electronics from transient voltage damage. The wide selection offers diodes that meet industry requirements to solve multiple exposure issues. Typical applications for Littelfuse General-Purpose ESD Protection SPA Diodes include 10/100/1000 Ethernet, DC powerlines, and general I/O.

xEV Power Train Solutions

Littelfuse offers a wide portfolio of xEV Power Train Solutions that are suitable for automotive environments. This portfolio includes fuses, TVS diodes, diode arrays, gate drivers, high-voltage fuses, and thermal protectors. These products from Littelfuse are designed to be used in various EV sectors, such as battery management systems, traction motor inverters, onboard chargers, and the battery distribution unit.

TVS Silicon Protection Arrays (SPA)

Littelfuse Silicon Protection Array (SPA®) TVS Diodes are designed to protect electronics from very fast and damaging voltage transients, such as lightning and electrostatic discharge (ESD). These diodes offer an ideal protection solution for I/O interfaces and digital and analog signal lines in computer and consumer portable electronics. Littelfuse TVS diodes offer a broader application use and improved impulse protection performance over conventional diodes.

AQ1205-01FTG Bidirectional Discrete TVS Diode

Littelfuse AQ1205-01FTG Bidirectional Discrete TVS Diode safely dissipates a 7A 8/20μs surge event and offers 7pF typical capacitance. This diode features proprietary silicon avalanche technology and provides electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection for electronic equipment. The module safely absorbs repetitive ESD strikes of ±30kV without performance degradation (contact/air discharge per IEC 61000-4-2). Additional features include low leakage current and low clamping voltage. Littelfuse AQ1205-01FTG Bidirectional Discrete TVS Diode is AEC-Q101 qualified, PPAP capable, halogen free, lead free, and RoHS compliant. Applications include automotive, battery protection, battery management systems (BMS), computer peripherals, medical equipment, switches / buttons, test equipment / instrumentation, and more.
