Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MP163A AC/DC Converters are non-isolated offline regulators with an integrated low dropout regulator (LDO) and provide constant voltage regulation without an optocoupler. These regulators support buck, boost, buck-boost, and flyback topologies and have an integrated 700V MOSFET to reduce cost by simplifying the structure. The modules are green-mode operation regulators. As the load decreases both the peak current and switching frequency decrease. Protections include thermal shutdown, VCC undervoltage lockout (UVLO), overload (OLP), short circuit (SCP), and open-loop. Applications for MPS MP163A AC/DC Converters include standby power, home appliances, white goods, industrial controls, and consumer electronics.
