ACT Common Mode Filters & Chokes

TDK ACT Common Mode Filters and Chokes are designed to withstand high temperatures of up to 125°C or 150°C. These TDK filters and chokes are used for vehicular devices that require compatibility with high temperatures. The ACT1210 series is compact with characteristics equivalent to ACT45B filters. Applications for ACT45B include CAN buses, modems, ISDNs, and more. Applications for both the ACT1210 and ACT1210R include CAN bus and FlexRay systems. The ACT1210G filter conforms to the standards of the OPEN Alliance (one-pair Ethernet) for 1000BASE-T1. The ACT1210E common mode filter is 3.2mm x 2.5mm x 2.5mm in size and is designed for automotive Ethernet 10BASE-T1S. The ACT32P series is compliant with AEC-Q200 qualifications and ideal for power CMC applications.

ACT1210G Automotive Common Mode Choke

TDK ACT1210G Common Mode Choke conforms to the standards of the OPEN Alliance for automotive Ethernet 1000BASE-T1 and offers high S-parameter values to create a high amplitude ratio between differential and common-mode levels. The common-mode inductance at 100kHz is 80µH, and the maximum permissible current is 70mA. A metal frame for the connecting electrodes offers excellent thermal behavior, which allows the choke to be used within a wide temperature range from -40°C to +125°C. TDK ACT1210G Common Mode Choke features high reliability and minimal scatter of the electrical parameters due to a highly automated and extremely precise winding process. The choke is qualified in accordance with AEC-Q200.

In addition, these inductors provide broadband screening due to a low capacitance winding technique. Würth Elektronik WE-CMB Common Mode, Power Line Inductors, are ideal for power electronics and suppressing common-mode noises. Parasitics can have a significant effect on the noise attenuation and current rating of a common mode filter. Würth designed the WE-CMB series for minimal parasitic effects over its useful frequency bandwidth so it does what it is designed to do - get rid of the noise.
