UCC21220/UCC21220A Isolated Dual-Ch Gate Drivers
Texas Instruments UCC21220/UCC21220A 3.0kVRMS Isolated Dual-Channel Gate Drivers enable high efficiency, high power density, and robustness in a wide variety of power applications. The UCC21220/UCC21220A is designed with best-in-class dynamic performance driving power MOSFET, IGBT, and GaN transistors. The UCC21220/UCC21220A Drivers can be configured as two low-side drivers, two high-side drivers, or half-bridge drivers. Two outputs can be paralleled to form a single driver. This doubles the drive strength for heavy load conditions without internal shoot-through. A 3.0kVRMS isolation barrier separates the input side from the two output drivers, with a minimum of 100V/ns common-mode transient immunity (CMTI). The UCC21220/UCC21220A provides protection features that include a DIS pin that shuts down both outputs simultaneously when it is set high and an INA/B pin that rejects input transient shorter than 5ns. Additional features on the device are an undervoltage lockout (UVLO), active pull-down protection that clamps the output below 2.1V when unpowered or floated, and both inputs and outputs that can withstand –2V spikes for 200ns.
