A8660 Synchronous Buck Controller

Allegro MicroSystems A8660 Synchronous Buck Controller is designed to satisfy the power supply requirements of industrial, automotive, and consumer applications. The A8660 controller includes all the control and protection circuitry to produce a robust PWM controller delivering high currents. This controller features PWM frequency dithering that reduces EMI/EMC and soft recovery that prevents output voltage overshoot when the converter comes out of a low VIN dropout condition. An external clock can be applied to the SYNCIN pin to shift the PWM harmonics for high-current, low-frequency designs, avoiding AM band interference with a tuner or other sensitive electronics. External compensation is featured so this controller can be tuned to satisfy various system goals over a wide range of PWM frequencies and external components. Allegro MicroSystems A8660 Synchronous Buck Controller consists of several protections, including pulse-by-pulse current limit, hiccup mode short-circuit protection, BOOT open/short voltage protection, and VIN undervoltage protection.

Single Output Regulators

Allegro MicroSystems Single Output Regulators are robust, efficient, fault-protecting regulator solutions. The energy-saving regulators minimize power loss and feature high-temperature operation, including a junction temperature of 150°C.

Magnetic Speed Sensor ICs

Allegro MicroSystems Magnetic Speed Sensor ICs offer a comprehensive portfolio covering the full range of speed and speed with direction sensor ICs. These products include a two- and three-wire interface, a magnetic encoder (ring magnet) and gear tooth sensing, Hall and GMR technology, and ASIL-compliant options for transmission, wheel speed, engine, e-motors, and many more encoder and gear tooth sensing applications.

Allegro MicroSystems Regulators offer a large selection of wide-input, Grade 0 automotive and industrial power management ICs.
