Automotive Lighting Solutions

ROHM Semiconductor Automotive Lighting Solutions combine LED driver ICs required for LED lighting control along with compact high-reliability LEDs. These automotive lighting solutions address the need to support the advancement of sensing and safety functions required for autonomous driving technology. The automotive solutions turn LEDs ON/OFF and control lighting to increase safety. The Automotive solutions from ROHM offer an extensive lineup of advanced products and solutions for applications. The -4ch linear LED driver ICs enable individual lamp control and integrate a novel thermal distribution circuit. This simplifies thermal design to AEC-Q101 qualified surface mount chip LEDs that deliver high brightness along with improved reliability in a compact form factor.

Automotive LEDs

ROHM Semiconductor Automotive LED product family features AEC-Q101-qualified SMD LEDs. These LEDs are available in various colors, brightness types, and packages. The automotive LEDs offer exceptional lighting performance at -40 to 100°C. Excellent luminous intensity is ensured with low forward voltages around or slightly under 2V. With packages including PLCC-2, 0805, 1305, and 1608, these LEDs are well-suited to meet interior and exterior automotive application requirements.

SML-D14 Automotive LEDs

ROHM Semiconductor SML-D14 Automotive LEDs series includes AEC-Q101 qualified, standard SMD LEDs based on original device technology. The original device technology enables the SML-D14 LEDs to provide high brightness and reliability across the 571nm-630nm wavelength. Constructed with an AIGaInP chip structure and a tinted/diffused lens, SML-D14 LEDs are available in yellow, yellow-green, orange, and red. Luminous intensity ratings range from 60mcd to 200mcd. The LEDs operate with a typical 20mA forward current, 2V forward voltage, and 75mW power dissipation in a mini-mold, 1608 package across a -40 to 100°C temperature range.
