Ambiq Apollo3 Blue Plus Voice-on-SPOT Kit

Ambiq Apollo3 Blue Plus Voice-on-SPOT® (VoS®) Kit implements demos, evaluation, and the creation of ultra-low power audio and voice capabilities on the Ambiq SoC. The kit features always-on voice capability with one or two microphones, signal processing, wake word/command detection, codec, and BLUETOOTH® Low Energy communication. The kit supplies the ultra-low power solution at the MCU and system levels. The kit can facilitate a battery life of up to a year or more on standard alkaline or lithium batteries, depending on application requirements and customer prerequisites.

The Ambiq Apollo3 Blue Plus Voice-on-SPOT Kit can be outlined with or without pre-roll, the lowest power design being without pre-roll. The Apollo3 Blue Plus wakes in microseconds and drives Ambiq or third-party software using less than 1MHz that recognizes voice spectral characteristics. If it detects voice, it turns on the wake word engine (Wake-on-Voice). When a wake word is detected, a codec suitable for the application compresses the phrase and can transmit over BLUETOOTH Low Energy. The kit has been tested with close talk, near field, and remote control far field under standard testing conditions for Response Accuracy Rate (RAR), False Acceptance Rate (FAR), and False Rejection Rate (FRR). Independent and comprehensive testing of the VoS kit has been conducted at various sites, including partners' and Ambiq's audio labs.
