Electronic Fuses (eFuses)

onsemi Electronic Fuses (eFuses) offer an all-integrated solution providing overcurrent, overvoltage, over-temperature, reverse polarity, and inrush current protection. onsemi eFuses range from 3V up to 12V, supporting a continuous current from 1A up to 12A. The integrated overcurrent, overtemperature, overvoltage, and inrush current protection, along with the ability to report fault and disable the output through GPIO, make this device suitable for protecting any system and supporting a compact board layout.

NIS64x2 Resettable Electronic Fuses

onsemi NIS64x2 Resettable Electronic Fuses are cost-effective fuses that enhance the reliability of a hard drive or any other circuit from catastrophic and shutdown failures. These fuses buffer the load device from the excessive input voltage that can damage the sensitive circuits and protect the input side circuitry from reverse currents. onsemi NIS64x2 Resettable Electronic Fuses come with an overvoltage clamp circuit that limits the output voltage during transients. This overvoltage clamp circuit does not shut the unit down and allows the load circuit to continue the operation. The NIS64x2 fuses feature digital and tristate enable, an integrated soft-start circuit, and an internal charge pump. Typical applications include hard drives, solid-state drives (SSDs), and motherboards.
