Texas Instruments USB Type-C™ Solutions offer power capabilities extended up to 15W via provisions that enable the source to manage current in a range of 0.5A to 3.0A dynamically. These Texas Instruments USB Type-C™ devices increase data speed rates to 10Gbps and USB 3.1 Power Delivery support supplies negotiable power up to 100W. Additional options include Alternate Modes, Display Port, and backward compatibility taking USB Type-C to a higher echelon.

TUSB564 USB Type-C™ Redriver Crosspoint Switches

Texas Instruments TUSB564 USB Type-C™ DP Alt Mode Linear Redriver Crosspoint Switches support USB 3.1 data rates up to 5Gbps and DisplayPort 1.4 up to 8.1Gbps for upstream facing port (Sink). Using the VESA DisplayPort Alt Mode on USB Type-C Standard, the device uses UFP_D pin assignments C, D, and E. Features include an ultra-low power architecture and transparency to DisplayPort Link training. Compensating for intersymbol interference (ISI) due to cable and board trace loss, the TUSB564 provides several levels of receive linear equalization. The TUSB564 operates using a single 3.3V supply and offers an industrial and commercial temperature.
