EV Automotive Relays (DC Contactors)

Panasonic EV Automotive Relays (DC Contactors) are compact and lightweight devices that offer safety via a capsule contact mechanism. To realize quick gap cutoff with high voltage DC, hydrogen gas is sealed in the capsule contact chamber. The gas has superior arc cooling capability. At the same time, an airtight construction prevents arc leakage, providing superior safety. Because the contact portion is sealed in hydrogen gas, there is no contact oxidation, resulting in high contact reliability. These high-capacity cutoff relays are also dustproof and waterproof. Panasonic EV Automotive Relays (DC Contactors) offer a 1 Form A contact arrangement, rated coil voltage range of 12VDC to 24VDC, and an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +80°C. Typical applications include electric vehicles, battery charge and discharge systems, and high voltage DC applications such as hybrid construction equipment.
