MCS180x Linear Hall-Effect Current Sensors

Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MCS180x Linear Hall-Effect Current Sensors feature a small footprint that saves board space and is well-suited for space-constrained applications. The series is offered in SOIC-8 packaging with a tape-and-reel option. The MCS180x modules are used for AC and DC current sensing. The Hall array is differential, which cancels out the stray magnetic field. These sensors provide two power supply options (3.3V or 5V) and a wide current range for the best accuracy in different applications. Other features include adjustable bandwidth up to 100kHz, 4μs output rising time, and -40°C to +125°C operating temperature range. Typical applications for MPS MCS180x Linear Hall-Effect Current Sensors include motor controls, automotive systems, load detection and management, switch-mode power supplies, and overcurrent fault protection.
