FLEXITERM® Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors

KYOCERA AVX FLEXITERM® Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors (MLCCs) are designed to enhance the mechanical flexure and temperature cycling performance of a standard ceramic capacitor with an X7R dielectric. The FLEXITERM technology meets the demand for components with enhanced mechanical strength and flexibility when used in harsh environment applications, such as automobiles, and in applications where temperature variation exists. KYOCERA AVX FLEXITERM MLCCs provide up to 5mm of flexure without internal cracks, 3mm above the 2mm industry standard. In addition, these advanced MLCCs reduce circuit board flex failures and offer increased temperature cycling performance of 3,000 cycles and beyond, a base metal electrode system, and automotive and commercial grade product selections.

Automotive FLEXITERM® & FLEXISAFE® MLCCs

KYOCERA AVX FLEXITERM® and FLEXISAFE® MLCCs feature enhanced mechanical strength and are ideal for automotive and medical applications, depending on the model. These MLCCs satisfy the requirement for enhanced mechanical strength by ensuring electrical integrity is maintained while external forces are being applied to the component. KYOCERA AVX FLEXITERM MLCCs provide up to 5mm of flexure without internal cracks. 

High-Voltage SMD MLCCs

KYOCERA AVX High-Voltage SMD MLCCs provide high value, low leakage ratings, and a compact size suitable for high-voltage systems. These MLCCs feature a high-voltage chip design that exhibits low ESR at high frequencies. KYOCERA AVX High-Voltage SMD MLCCs are designed for applications such as snubbers in high-frequency power converters, resonators in SMPS, and high-voltage coupling/DC blocking.
