KEMET is improving and enhancing their printing process for part
markings. The changes with clarify the T498 and T499 laser
marking, including the polarity indicator. The improvements will
result in sharper contrast which will improve the end customer_s
component identification process.

The effective date for laser marking change in the Matamoros
location is December 1st, 2014.

Transportation Solutions

KEMET offers a wide range of products for the automotive industry, and these transportation solutions are verified to work under harsh temperatures ranging from -50°C to +175°C.

MLCC Replacement Solutions

KEMET KOCAP Tantalum Polymer Capacitors are ideal for board space savings, a piezo noise-free environment, high capacitance, long stable life performance, and/or lower profile requirements. Tantalum polymer capacitors are selected over other capacitor technologies when application voltages are less than 50V, capacitance needs are between 1µF to 1mF, and application frequencies are below 1MHz. Since replacing ceramic capacitors with tantalum polymer capacitors is not typically one-for-one, designers need to consider several design requirements as outlined in the schematic below.

Solid Tantalum Capacitors

KEMET Solid Tantalum Capacitors are a high-reliability Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) family of capacitors that provide very low ESR and high surge current capabilities. These surface-mount MnO2 capacitors cover a range of applications, including industrial, automotive, defense, and space-grade options.

T498 High Temperature Tantalum Capacitors

KEMET T498 High-Temperature Tantalum Capacitors offer maximum performance characteristics in applications with operating temperatures up to +150°C. The T498 Series High-Temperature Tantalum Capacitors from KEMET are available in 5 standard EIA case sizes with RoHS terminations as standard. Other T498 Series features include capacitance values of 0.47µF to 220µF, voltage ratings of 6-50VDC, AEC-Q200 compliance, laser-marked case, 100% surge current testing, and taped and reeled packaging per EIA 481-D.
