U2J Commercial-Grade Dielectric SMD ≤250V MLCCs

KEMET U2J Dielectric Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors (MLCCs) feature U2J dielectric technology. This technology extends the available capacitance range of Class I MLCCs to achieve values previously available in only Class II dielectric materials, including X7R, X5R, Y5V, and Z5U. KEMET U2J dielectric technology combines the stability expected from C0G Class I MLCCs with the available capacitance expected from X7R Class II MLCCs.

Commercial Grade Class I Dielectric ≤250V MLCCs

KEMET Commercial Grade Class I Dielectric SMD ≤250V MLCCs feature a 125°C maximum operating temperature and are considered stable. These capacitors feature a Class I material that exhibits no change in capacitance with respect to time and voltage. This series also boasts a negligible change in capacitance with reference to ambient temperature. Capacitance change is limited to ±30ppm/ºC from -55°C to +125°C. These KEMET temperature-compensating MLCCs are ideal for resonant circuit applications or those where Q and stability of capacitance characteristics are required. The lineup includes AEC-Q200-qualified capacitors.

Flexible Mitigation Surface Mount ≤250V MLCCs

KEMET Flexible Mitigation Surface Mount ≤250V MLCCs are solutions designed to reduce the risk of flex cracks. These solutions include the following: Flexible Termination (FT-CAP), Floating Electrode (FE-CAP), and Open Mode (FO-CAP) Technology. 

High CV Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors (MLCCs)

KEMET High CV Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors (MLCCs) are a preferred capacitance solution, offering tremendous performance, reliability, and cost advantages for circuit designers. Ceramics are non-polar devices that offer unsurpassed volumetric efficiency, delivering high capacitance in small package sizes. Available in a wide range of sizes, KEMET High CV MLCCs offer very low equivalent series resistance (ESR), exhibit excellent high-frequency characteristics, and are very reliable. MLCCs are monolithic devices that consist of laminated layers of specially formulated ceramic dielectric materials interspersed with a metal electrode system. The layered formation is then fired at a high temperature to produce a sintered and volumetrically efficient capacitance device. A conductive termination barrier system is integrated into the exposed ends of the chip to complete the connection. 

Commercial Grade SMD ≤250V MLCCs

KEMET Commercial Grade SMD ≤250V MLCCs offer a wide variety of dielectrics, case sizes, voltages, and capacitance values, giving designers solutions for every possible application. These MLCCs are available in C0G, U2J, X7R, X5R, Y5V, and Z5U dielectrics with capacitance values up to 100uF and case sizes ranging from EIA 0201 to 2225. These capacitors are Lead (Pb)-free, RoHS, and REACH compliant without exemption.

U2J Commercial Grade Flexible Termination MLCCs

KEMET U2J Flexible Termination Dielectric MLCCs combine a unique, flexible termination system with KEMET's standard termination materials. Conductive silver epoxy is used between the base metal and nickel barrier layers of the standard termination to establish pliability while maintaining terminal strength, solderability, and electrical performance. The technology is engineered to address failure due to flex cracks as a result of excessive tensile and shear stresses produced during board flexure and thermal cycling. Flexible termination prevents the transfer of board stress to the rigid ceramic body, mitigating flex cracks that can result in low IR or short circuit failures. KEMET U2J Flexible Termination Dielectric MLCCs operate in a -55°C to +125°C temperature range.
