Analog Devices Inc. Resolvers and LVDTs Position Sensing Solutions feature robust position sensors that provide highly accurate linear and rotary displacement measurements over a wide temperature range. The offering is divided into LVDTs and RVDTs. Linear Variable Differential Transformers (LVDTs) are electromechanical sensors that provide accurate linear displacement measurements. Rotary Variable Differential Transformers (RVDTs) are the counterpart to LVDTs and measure rotary displacement.

AD2S1210 10-Bit to 16-Bit R/D Converters

Analog Devices AD2S1210 10-Bit to 16-Bit R/D Converters are complete monolithic 10-bit to 16-bit resolution tracking resolver-to-digital converters that integrate an on-board programmable sinusoidal oscillator for sine wave excitation for resolvers. AD2S1210 accepts 3.15V p-p ± 27% input signals in the range of 2kHz to 20kHz on the sine and cosine inputs. A Type II servo loop tracks the inputs and converts the input sine and cosine information into a digital representation of the input angle and velocity. AD2S1210 provides a maximum tracking rate is 3125rps and ±2.5 arc minutes of accuracy.
