AirMax VS® High-Speed Signal Connectors

Amphenol FCI AirMax VS® High-Speed Signal Connectors are used to connect compute blade modules, compute blade mezzanine modules, or chassis management modules (CMM) to a midplane or backplane in a Server System Infrastructure (SSI) modular blade server chassis. The high-speed interconnect channels support industry-standard technologies such as PCI Express Gen 2, Infiniband QDR, 8Gb/s Fibre Channel, and Backplane Ethernet. Amphenol FCI AirMax VS High-Speed Signal Connectors feature low insertion loss and crosstalk. The high-speed serial data rates can scale to 12.5Gb/s, while the opposed dual-beam receptacle contact structure provides high reliability. These compact 2x2 power connectors provide capacity for up to 20A per contact and utilize rugged guide modules to enable proper alignment.

AirMax VS® Connectors

Amphenol FCI AirMax VS® Hard Metric connector family is comprised of the VS, VS2, and VSe backplane connectors as well as Hard Metric power connectors. The AirMax series ranges in speeds of 12.5Gb/s up to 25Gb/s and are backward compatible with existing AirMax designs allowing designers to easily upgrade to higher speed performance.
