451 Series 1.27mm Ribbon Cable Sockets

3M 451 Series 1.27mm (0.050") Pitch Ribbon Cable Sockets are made of beryllium copper and provide a combination of low stress relaxation, good overall reliability, and long service life for secure connections and signal integrity. These compact, robust connectors with a fine pitch enable high connection density in a small space. Available friction latch configurations enable increased protection against accidental disconnect when using a box header. IDC offers a quick and cost-effective way to terminate many wires by hand without requiring automatic or semi-automated equipment compared to crimping or soldering. The 3M 451 Ribbon Cable Sockets offer a 1A to 2.5A current range, 125VAC voltage rating, and -65°C to +125°C operating temperature range.

450 Wire-to-Board Systems

3M 450 Wire-to-Board Systems is a complete end-to-end interconnect system intended for wire-to-board applications using 0.025" flat ribbon cable. It is a two-part system consisting of a boardmount header and a wiremount socket. The mating components are designed on a 1.27mm or 0.050" grid. Compared to systems based on the 2.54mm (0.100") or 2.00mm grids, the finer pitch saves valuable space on the printed circuit board yet still delivers on performance, reliability, and cost savings.
